Cait & Jared's wedding is by far the best DIY rustic chic wedding I've ever seen. If you're looking for some DIY wedding inspo for your rustic themed wedding, then make sure to check out their wedding photos below!
Cait and Jared were married in the open air under shade trees with a hand-built arch. They said "I do" in their own backyard. They live on a 20-acre cow farm, and believe it or not, it does not smell like poo!
Their ceremony was so peaceful. Keir, a college friend of Cait's, and his girlfriend played a wonderful duet on the piano while Jared's sister, Kathryn and his brother, Carson, sang a lovely melody. To that melody, the grandparents and the parents walked down the aisle first followed by the bridesmaids and groomsmen, which were Cait and Jared's siblings. The officiant told of how they first met six years prior, in Taiwan, on a missions trip. Once the trip was over, and they went back to their separate lives, they grew apart and didn't reconnect until 2018. From that day, they ended up here- getting married in their backyard surrounded by friends, family, and animals of all sorts.
Their reception was in a barn with string lights strung up in the rafters. Cait made most of the decorations herself. What was really unique about their reception was that they did not have just wedding cake; instead, each table had their own wedding cake! The cakes were made by one of Cait's best friends that she knew in college. Together, Cait and Faith, her friend from college, used to work for a special events services together and would bake together often. Cait and Jared also made their own kombucha (super delicious, by the way!) to have as refreshments, along with water and lemonade. Their guests had a great time playing puzzles and jumbo jenga; and the kiddos had a blast climbing and jumping off hay bales.
They had a fabulous sendoff with glow sticks!
