As a wedding and engagement photographer serving the Nashville, Tennessee area, I am fortunate to capture love stories in some of the most beautiful venues. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a stunning summer wedding at The Local Ark in Franklin, Tennessee for the second time this year.
The Local Ark is renowned for its charming little white chapel, a perfect spot for intimate ceremonies. The chapel offers couples a beautiful backdrop for exchanging their vows. Brittany and JP, the lovely couple whose wedding I captured, shared an emotional and heartfelt ceremony here. Their love story is truly special—JP, originally from Peru, met Brittany at a local Latin dance club in Nashville, and their passion for dance brought them together.
Following the ceremony, the celebration continued in the event space adjacent to the chapel. The Local Ark's reception area is well-equipped with a kitchen, a spacious bridal suite, and ample room for guests to enjoy the festivities. Brittany's choice of a soft light purple and ivory color palette added an elegant and romantic touch to the reception decor, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The couple's love for dance was evident throughout the reception, as they dazzled their guests with energetic and passionate dance performances that reflected their shared love for Latin music.
One of the highlights of the day was their bride and groom portrait session. We ventured to a magnificent willow tree on the property, a location that held a stark contrast to my last visit in February. During that winter wedding, the willow tree was almost invisible, but this time, it stood in full glory, its cascading branches providing a whimsical and romantic setting for their portraits.
Each visit to The Local Ark has left me with treasured memories and sentimental keepsakes. During my previous wedding in February, I was gifted a sentimental piece of jewelry by the bride. This time, the owner of The Local Ark presented me with a beautiful piece of jewelry, a necklace inscribed with the word "Hope" in Hebrew. This meaningful gesture added a personal touch to an already unforgettable day.
