Welcome, I'm Lanie Deel, and I can't wait to know you better and learn more about the story that brought you here.
What drew me to photography in the beginning wasn't the camera or the settings- it was the feeling. The way a single moment can say so much without a word. I love chasing the light, finding those quiet in-between moments, and most of all, connecting with the people I meet along the way.
Being a wedding photographer means I get to show up for one of life's most meaningful moments- sometimes the happiest, sometimes the hardest. I'm often there when no one else is, quietly paying attention, doing my best to capture what those moments truly felt like. Whether it's joy, nerves, tears or laughter, my hope is that when you look back on these photos, they take you right back to that season of your life and remind you just how much it mattered.

These roles have shaped my perspective as my position as a wedding photographer.
As a mother, I know how quickly time passes and how important it is to hold onto the little moments that mean the most. That same instinct is what drives me to capture the quiet, emotional pieces of a wedding day — the ones that you’ll want to remember years down the line.
As a wife, I’ve come to understand the depth of love, commitment, and partnership. Marriage is something I deeply value, and it’s a true honor for me to witness and photograph couples as they begin that journey together. Every love story is different, and each one is worth celebrating.
And as a follower of Christ, I see marriage as something sacred. I believe in the beauty and purpose behind each union, and I approach every wedding day with gratitude and intention, knowing how meaningful these moments really are.
With my camera in hand, I’m here to preserve the love, joy, and grace that unfold on your wedding day. It means so much to me to be a part of your story and to help create something you and your loved ones will look back on for generations.

Why 'Simply Bleu'? When I began my journey as a wedding photographer, I was drawn to more than just the beauty of the day — it was the emotion, the meaning, and the deeply personal nature of each celebration that stood out to me. Every wedding tells a unique story, filled with quiet moments, genuine connection, and the promise of something lasting. I wanted to build a brand that reflected that same sense of purpose and presence.
Blue has always symbolized depth, trust, and calmness — values that mirror the heart of a strong relationship. It evokes the stillness of the ocean and the openness of the sky, reminding me of the quiet strength that carries a marriage forward. That feeling became my inspiration. I chose the name Simply Bleu to reflect exactly what I hope to capture — the simple, authentic moments that often matter the most. The ones that aren't planned but stay with you forever. “Bleu” adds a touch of distinction, while still holding onto the honesty and warmth at the core of what I do.
At Simply Bleu, I’m here to tell your story the way it really felt — natural, honest, and true to who you are. I care about the little moments just as much as the big ones, because those are the ones that tend to stick with us. My goal is to capture your day with care and intention, so when you look back, you’ll remember not just how it looked, but how it felt.
