Vibrant Downtown Murfreesboro Engagement Session

I recently had the pleasure of photographing an incredible engagement session in the heart of Murfreesboro Square, Downtown Murfreesboro. As a wedding and engagement photographer serving the Nashville, TN area and surrounding towns, I am always excited to explore new locations and Murfreesboro Square did not disappoint.

Kadence and Colton are the kind of couple that just click—easygoing, sweet, and full of that giddy excitement that comes with building a life together. They recently moved into their new home just around the corner from Murfreesboro Square, and you can tell they’re still riding that just-moved-in, fresh-start kind of joy.

Murfreesboro Square was the perfect location for their session. It’s got that cool mix of old and new—historic charm meets downtown energy—and that’s exactly the vibe Kadence and Colton were going for. From the moment we started near the courthouse, it all fell into place. The grand steps and those beautiful old columns? Pure magic for classic, timeless shots.

But we didn’t stop there—we wandered around downtown, soaking in the atmosphere and making the most of every corner. The colorful murals, the cozy cafés, the brick buildings with that perfect bit of weathering… every spot added its own little spark to the photos. And even in the heart of the city, we found these gorgeous little pockets of green—flower-filled bushes, leafy corners—just enough nature to bring in that softer, more romantic feel.

Watching them laugh and lean into each other, right there in the middle of the streets they now call home, was such a reminder of what these sessions are really about. It’s not just about the photos—it’s about a time in your life when everything is fresh and full of promise. Kadence and Colton, thank you for letting me be a small part of your story.
