Warm Winter Wedding at the Local Ark in Franklin, Tennessee

From stone and wood textures to pale and moody landscapes, the settings of each cherished moment had me feeling the vibes. The ceremony was in the sweetest little chapel in Franklin. The reception was in a gorgeous event space with wood accents that matched the wedding style perfectly.

A and J’s lovely wedding day was the perfect reflection of a lovely couple. The bride was so thoughtful that she even included me in the list of people to whom she gave keepsake jewelry. I most appreciate the gift and will always cherish it! A gift or keepsake is definitely not expected or something that I receive often as a wedding vendor. But it was a beautiful touch from a beautiful bride.

Late winter and very early spring can be tricky times for a wedding, since scenery can feel plainer and outfits less exciting than summer or the holidays. But this February bride found the perfect way to frame her dreamy forest-cottage-vibe wedding. From stone and wood textures to pale and moody landscapes, the settings of each cherished moment had me feeling the vibes. The ceremony was in the sweetest little chapel at the Local Ark in Franklin, Tennessee. The reception was in a gorgeous part of the venue with wood accents that matched the wedding style perfectly. The bride's beaded gown was stunning beside the soft, dark velvet of her bridesmaids' dresses.

Capturing the cherished moments at this wedding was such a privilege! The bride chose to do multiple first looks with bridesmaids, father, brother, and of course, the groom. This is a sweet way to include some one-on-one moments with the most special people. If this is something important to the couple, we definitely plan for it in the timeline!

This wedding was such a sweet, intimate event, focused on the food, time with family members, and even a special surprise at the end--a gender reveal!

When I look at the photos in this gallery, I don't just see them through the camera lens. I see everyone looking at each other through the lens of love, family, and quality time spent together. It reminds me of why I love being a wedding photographer—to preserve memories so we can truly savor them for the rest of our lives.
